May 12th

Today we woke up and took the tube (it’s nice to have the hang of the underground system now) to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guards. It was a lot different than I thought it would be. It was like a parade of the guards. A group of guards played music and some guards stood there while other guards marched around and yelled. It was funny to see that they have knifes at the end of their guns still. There were so many people there, but we ended up getting really close to the action. After Buckingham palace we went to the singles ward at Hyde Park. It was a beautiful walk past Hyde Park. It was great. We went to the singles ward. It was so fun to see the building. It is huge! It has the Mormon.org advertisements type things on the outside and is kind of like a visitors center in the first part when you walk in. The ward was incredibly nice to us. The best part of my day was during relief society I got to face time my mom and dad and sister and her kids. I am so incredibly grateful for my momma and that she is my mom. I am also so grateful for all the women that are such great examples of mothers to me. Tonight we went to a wine bar for oeuvres-it was so cool it was in a cave/tavern thing. Then we went to Wagamama’s for dinner.

  1. Kenz, thanks for catching us up with your blog posts. The text and pics are awesome. I still have a picture of you on my desk that I took on a rainy day in Oxford. I love you. Stay safe and remember who you are and what you stand for.
