Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! I am so very grateful for this season and I am especially grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know this post is a picture OVERLOAD, but I haven't updated for a while- I've been way too busy with family fun. (YAY!)

First off I just want to say how grateful I am for this gal, my sister, Alyssa. It is SO fun only being two years apart. Now that we're older we have lots of the same friends. We have a blast together! Love you Lu!

This is my sweet niece singing with my cousin-in-law. It was so dang cute! They sang the "When Christmas Comes to Town" song that's on the Polar Express.

What would the break be without an ugly Christmas sweater party?

My niece and I at the Grand America down town. They have all these AWESOME ginger bread houses.

My sweet nieces.

Doing the Nativity scene on Christmas Eve! (Click here for a beautiful poem about the day Christ was born called "The Nativity Scene" by Annette Weed.)

The adorable headband I got from my sis and brother-in-law. It has lemons on it as a tribute to this blog! Thanks Steph and Jeremy!

All the kiddies on Christmas morning!

This is the present (in progress) I made for my parents.

Here's the end result! It's a family tree made out of corduroy with everything noticeably stitched together. Each leaf has a member of the fam's name on it with my mom and dad on the trunk. I say I'll add to it each year for the new babies born...but who knows if I really will. (Sorry Mom)

Nieces :D

One of the best parts of this break has been Christmas afternoon- getting to talk to my best friend on the phone. He is serving a mission for our church in Canada. Getting to play with his family (who I absolutely LOVE)was so fun too! The cute fam is above gathered around the phone to hear Keaters.

Us one year ago.

Here are some of his cute missions pics.

Such a stud. :-)

Christ mas

So I'm one of those people who get really bugged when people say Xmas. "Merry Xmas!"..drives me crazy because I feel like people who say this are taking the most important part of the holiday, Christ's birth, out of the holiday. I recently just learned that X is actually the ancient symbol of Christ. So, no matter how you say it, "Merry Christmas!", "Merry Xmas" "Happy Christmas Ron" or "Happy Christmas Harry" you're paying tribute to Jesus, the most important part of the holiday.

Just wanted to post this cute picture of my niece wearing my shoes.

Education

Tomorrow and Friday are my last day of classes for this semester. WAHOOO! I just wanted to write a little post about how grateful I am for my education. I'm so thankful that I have the opportunuty to go to school, especially at Utah State. (I love this place.) School is abviously rough sometimes, but it's so worth it!

Dear Handyman

Dear Handyman that came to fix my bathroom fan,

If I was the one who hired you (not my landlord) I would fire you. You left a really gross mess in my bathroom. From stepping on my toilet-with muddy feet, to letting all the gross stuff from my fan fall down onto my bathroom floor (thanks a lot for leaving it there.) Thanks for fixing my fan though.

Happy Monday

A Peter Breinholt Christmas

Saturday night I went to the Peter Breinholt concert at the performance hall on campus. (which by the way is the coolest performance hall ever! -after millions of dollars. Check it out here.) The concert was amazing. (even better being with such a cute boy :) Peter and his band are incredible! I would highly recommend going to his Christmas concert. Him and his band are playing at the Rose Wagner Theater December 16&17 for all you Salt Lake City peeps. You can check out the other dates here. One of the coolest things about the concert was the purcussionist. He sat on a box that played like a drum and played several instruments at once. The show was VERY entertaining, I'm so glad I got to go.

P.S. you know what made this show even beter? Peter and his band did it for free, contributing all of the proceeds to Bear River Mental Health.

Bad Hair Day

Today was one of those days that you notice EVERYONE looking at you when you're walking across campus. At first you are flattered, then you realize what you looked like when you left the house this morning five minutes after waking up.
