The Big 2-1

I had a really chill and absolutely fabulous birthday on Saturday. (except that I was sick) My sweet dad flew in from out of town just to be with me for a while on my birthday, then flew back out. Thanks dad! My parents, family and friends made it such a great day. I'm so grateful for them all in my life.

I woke up to post it note decorations by my four year old niece and sister (it was so fun having my nieces there on my bday. The four year old was so excited)

We went to breakfast where I opened presents. My parents gave me some great presents along with a toy plane with a map on it. They explained I could choose anywhere in the U.S. to go on vacation with them. How great is that?! Thanks mom and dad! I'm thinking NY or Harry Potter Land in Florida.

I napped for a good part of the day (sick)

and we had cake (better than sex cake--yum!) and I opened my siblings presents which I loved (especially the red lip stick!) -Thank you sibs!

Then we went to Sherlock Holmes, which I LOVED.

Life is..

..good. Life is dang good.


So what if I'm super stressed about school..at least I get to go to college and get an education
So what if I have just about no money...I have the things I need plus much more and I am grateful for that
So what if all of my roommates have boyfriends except me..I like them all so I'm fine being the 9th wheel (and all the single boys who come over are all mine ;)
So what if I'm not in love..I love my family and my friends, and even myself (big step right thur)
So what if I have like 10.2 billion zits right now..they'll go away..someday
So what if I'm stressed about planning a baby shower and a wedding shower that are within a week of each other and are coming way way soon and I haven't gotten enough planning done..it's a party and it's gonna be  fun!
So what if sometimes I'm crazy..the people who matter love me for me
So what if I have a sugar headache...it was worth eating junior mints for breakfast
So what if I'm procrastinating what I should be doing...I'm loving blogging and pinning 


Seriously life is so good. Definitely not perfect, but perfectly IMperfect. Have a lovely Monday. 

Music

I love music. It can change your emotion with just a few notes. A day without music for me would kill me. I love all music. From weird music to your every day hear-it-on-the-radio music. One of my favorite feelings is finding a sweet new song that I quickly become obsessed with and listen to on repeat for days. I also love finding new bands. 


My friend Dan started a blog called "Song-That's-Stuck-In-My-Head of the Day"

And So It Begins

I am very excited for the new year. I love the feeling of a fresh start. Which is kind of funny since nothing really changes, just the last number on the date you write on your checks, but it feels good. I'm excited for a new semester in a new apartment. 


I had a lot of fun ringing in the new year with good friends, new friends and family. I am so grateful for them in my life.

Pointless picture at my cabin..but it has the funniest story behind it.. This is a children's game all the adults played with my four year old niece. She was the only child playing. Of course, the adults still got competitive and didn't let my niece win once until my sister s-p-e-l-l-e-d out that we needed to let my niece win...right after that c-o-n-v-e-r-s-a-t-i-o-n my 25 year old cousin wins the next round throwing his arms up in the air, so excited...everyone looks at him in disgust...sister asking him if he was serious in the rudest voice...cousin wasn't paying attention to the convo about letting my niece win...I cried I laughed so hard...had to be there?..probably.

Buh Bye 2011

2011 has really been a wonderful year. I am truly grateful for the opportunities I have had, especially the amazing opportunities I have had to meet and be with amazing people.

Going to NYC and seeing Wicked again

Baby Rowan coming into the world!

Going to the south (Savannah and Charleston) on our girls trip

 Moving to Arizona for the summer and being able to spend lots of time with my family there

Meeting new life long friends in Arizona

And going to Cali with them

Getting a "big girl" full time job in Arizona where I was the Senior Planner at hes Innovations

Working my job at Utah State(IT Computer Lab Consultant)...I love that job


My sister meeting the love of her life and getting engaged...i've never seen her so happy

Getting to know my co worker Autumn and becoming best friends (and finding out she's expecting)

Deciding to go on a mission and then deciding not to go. The process of just preparing to go helped me grow a lot and grow closer to God.
