Pretty Much a Journal Entry..No Need To Read

It seems like everyone's getting married. Two of my best friends from elementary school have recently gotten engaged. I'm so happy for them, they're such great people. Of course this got me thinking about how I want to get married someday..not for a while..definitely after a mission...but someday. My mom always gave me advice to be the person I wanted to marry. I never really took that advice to heart until yesterday. I was really thinking about what the qualities are that I want in my husband and how I really want to develop those qualities before I meet the man I'm going to marry. There are so many things I want in the man of my dreams. And so many things I want to work on so I can be the person that kind of man wants to be with forever. One thing I really want to work on myself is having more meaningful scripture study. Julie B. Beck, the first couselor in the young womens general presidency gave a great talk on scirpture study you can read it here. When I have my own family I want to be able to have meaningful scripture study with them and be able to teach my kids the stories in the scriptures. Honestly I am very scripture illiterate, so I look forward to strengthening my knowledge and testimony of the scriptures.

My Mom Became Old, So We Went to Cali

Last weekend the whole fam went to Disneyland for my mom's 50th birthday. It was such a great trip!

Here's the cute birthday girl! I love you mom, happy birthday!

On this trip I got my niece fix with these sweet two girls. I love them so much!

Me and my brother Matt just acting like cute asians in our sweet matching shirts.

Yes, our whole group had the same shirt for Disneyland. It was so fun! They said "Celebrating 50 Magical Years Happy Birthday Gramma Sug" (my mom thinks she's from the south so we call her that:) then had a silhouette of the Disney castle below it. We were proud to be reping our family pride.

We also had a fabulous party for my mom that included a candy bar (good job Steph!)
Thanks for the picture Paige!

We stayed right on the beach, which was awesome! It was a fabulous trip. Thanks mom and dad!

Movies

Today I bought the first movie I have ever bought with my own money.. what a big girl I am! I just never had the desire to spend twenty bucks on a single movie I could borrow from someone or redbox. But today I decided to buy one of the best movies in the world and start my movie collection. I bought "It's a Wonderful Life". I love that movie! So tonight starts my Christmas movie marathon.

Life

I absolutely LOVE this. I found it on someone else's blog and it really is for me. You know when you find something and it's exactly what you needed at that moment in your life? That's how this was for me. When I was younger, just like many other girls, I thought about how my life would be when I grew up. (I actually had a detailed plan.) My life hasn't turned out anywhere near what I've ever thought it would be and you know what? I am so incredibly greatful for that.

PDA (Public Display of Affection)

I think holding hands in public is great and cute maybe a peck, but making out in public is gross. And doesn't it seem like everyone who practices PDA are usually not the people you want to see making out. We love that you love each other but do it not in a Disneyland line, thanks!

(I did have a wonderful (disgusting) picture here to display what I mean by gross PDA, but it grossed me out too bad.)

Surrogacy

This weekend I watched "Baby Mama" probably one of my favorite movies next to "Toy Story 3".

If my religion wasn't against surrogacy (which I'm not too sure if they are or not) I would do it in a flash. You get paid BANK! Is that weird.

It's Just a Game

Tonight we had a big fight with the Humans VS Zombies game. People definitely forgot it was a game.  There were people dropping the f-bomb, people hitting people with their actual nerf guns..not the darts, people yelling at one another, many of the zombies yelling in unison "viva la horde!" (The horde is the group of zombies), people with painted faces, everyone in all black and my personal favorite when we were strategizing as zombies there was one "meathead" (according to Rachel) who yelled to the group "Whoever is in shape and can run fast, besides me, come over here." Ohhh man I wonder if that kid felt stupid when that came out of his mouth.. he probably just thought it made him sound cool. I laughed out loud really loud when he said that and when no one else did, I realized he obviously wasn't joking.

Our headbands say "zombie" this was after we ran after humans and got way into the game we didn't care what we did we just wanted to WIN!.. psyche

There was one point after the game tonight when I heard my cute friend who's a moderator for humans VS zombies saying to a couple guys "I'm sorry if you're points got messed up or something but this is just a game."

P.S. I am now a brunette as of today and really like it.

Just a Happy Thing

A special needs guy that is in the Best Buddies program I volunteer with( http://www.bestbuddies.org/ ) was in line in front of me when I was buying my lunch today and he bought it for me. How kind is that? It made my day. Special needs people truly are so special to me. I love being around them. I'm so thankful that I get to work with these great people who brighten my day so much by just seeing them for the rest of my life. (I'm going into Special Education and Elementary Education).

Sometimes Your Words Just Hypnotize Me

Last night I had the pleasure of going over to Eric (roommates boyfriend) and Co's apatment to be hypnotized. It crazy to me how susceptible the human mind is to hypnosis. We mostly did relaxation hypnosis and it definitely relaxed me. We did a couple other things and one of the exercises actually worked on me..it was weird! Here are a few pics of the extravaganza.

We then finished the night by watching Toy Story 3 - my favorite movie

Go Zombies!!

Today during work I had to run outside and feed on two humans.. I was just too hungry for human brains (and I needed to "feed" or I'd get kicked out of the game) The look on the 2 guys faces when I tagged them was priceless! Made me kind of feel bad though..

All of us zombies are going to be in a video interview tonight for the Utah Statesman. Can't wait! I'll post a picture of me being interviewed in a few hours. I bet you can't wait!

Humans VS Zombies

On campus this week over 800 people are participating in a game called "Humans VS Zombies".

Here's an overview of the game from the official website http://humansvszombies.org

"What is Humans vs Zombies (HvZ)? The short answer: HvZ is a modified version of the game tag that is generally played on college campuses. The Human team tries to avoid being tagged by and turned into a member of the Zombie team. Game play takes place constantly, stopping only in cases of emergency. Everyone starts on the Human team except one person who begins, secretly, as the original zombie. Zombies can be stunned with long range weaponry but are only eliminated from the game if they fail to tag anyone for a certain amount of time (generally 2 days). Zombies win by tagging all of the Humans; Humans win when the Zombies all starve to death."

A zombie snuck up on me this afternoon and I wasn't able to shoot my nerf gun in time. (If you shoot a zombie with a nerf gun you "stun" them and they cannot tag you for 15 minutes.) So I am now a zombie.

Every participant wheres a bandana that either says "human" or "zombie"  the bandana and the place where the person wears the bandana on their body is how you can tell who is a zombie and who is a human. It's a super fun game and it's so funny seeing people getting way into it. I saw a guy on campus today who was dressed in all camo with a huge nerf gun looking around him constantly making sure no zombie touched him, it was awesome!

Happy Halloween

Hope you all had a fabulous halloween! Mine was definitely fabulous hanging out with my roommates and some friends. My weekend consisted of many halloween movies; "The Labryn" (sketchy movie), "Casper", "Mickey's House of  Villans", "The Goonies", "Hocus Pocus", and a little bit of "What Lies Beneath". Decorating sugar cookies, carving pumpkins, and hanging out were some of the other events. My favorite thing I did all weekend was play the game "Nightmare" with friends and roommates. It was lots of fun making fun of it and getting scared as we played this pathetic but awesome children's game. (If you've never played this game you're invited to play with me next halloween.) Last night my wonderful parents came up to Logan to make a halloween dinner complete with my mom's YUMMY chili and shrivled up heads for dessert (cinnamon/brown sugar baked apple halfs with faces carved into them). Thanks mom and dad!

 I was a pirate - original, I know
Playing the best game in the world..by candle light of course

Facebook Stalking

I work at the computer labs on campus. I can see the computer of most of the people in the computer lab when I am workng at the front desk. My favorite thing at work is to watch people facebook stalking. We all do it, it's not a big deal, but have you watched someone else facebook stalk? If you ever get a chance to I'd highly reccommend it..it's VERY entertaining. And when you watch someone else do it you realize how creepy it is when you do it. My favorite is when you're watching someone facebook stalk and you know the person they're stalking..happened the other day in the library.
